How We Send Emails

At Crawjects, we strive to make the email-sending process both simple and transparent. Here’s how it works:
1. Sending Emails
When you use our auto-contact feature to send an email to a coach, the email is sent from our dedicated email address: fbathlete@crawjects.com.
To ensure coaches can reply to the correct user, we use plus addressing in the email’s “Reply-To” field. This means the reply address will be set to something like:
- fbathlete+[your_public_id]@crawjects.com
This allows us to route replies back to your mailbox within our platform, ensuring that responses get linked to the correct user profile. You are solely responsible for reviewing and approving all email content before sending.
2. Lost Emails
While most coaches will use the personalized reply-to address, please note that if a coach replies directly to fbathlete@crawjects.com (instead of the personalized address), we may be unable to automatically route that response to your mailbox. We’re continuously working to improve our system to better capture and route replies in the future. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we refine this feature.
3. Sender Name
The name that appears as the sender will be the name you’ve set in your account information. This helps coaches recognize you as the sender. While you can change your display name at any time, your unique user ID cannot currently be changed, as it’s essential for linking emails to your profile.
4. Tracking Stats
Like other recruiting services, Crawjects tracks email sends and responses to help you understand how many times a particular coach has received an email from fbathlete@crawjects.com. This data helps you gauge whether your email might be getting lost in a crowded inbox and provides insights into your outreach performance.
5. Limitations (Beta Notice)
We want to be fully transparent about our current limitations during this beta phase:
- Replying: At this time, users cannot reply directly to received emails from within the platform. We are working on implementing this feature in the future.
- Attachments: Currently, users cannot send or receive email attachments. Only text-based emails are supported.
- Incomplete Emails: Occasionally, some emails may be incomplete or missing certain details. We are aware of this issue and are actively working to improve it.
- Sending Emails: Right now, users can only send emails to coaches in our database, using a designated sender address. In the future, we hope to allow users to send emails from their own address on our domain (e.g., yourname@crawjects.com) or even integrate their personal email accounts via secure methods like OAuth.
- Features: As a beta, some features that you might expect from a full email client (e.g., custom templates, bulk emailing, tracking open rates, etc.) are not yet available. We’re continuously working to expand functionality, and we appreciate your patience as we build the best possible experience.
